The bill: H.R.3262 – Sami’s Law (116th Congress)
- mandates scannable QR code on ride share vehicle windows matching the one on the rider’s smartphone
- requires illuminated signs visible day and night from about 50 feet away
- prohibits the sale of signs with company logos to drivers not employed by the ride share companies
