Newly posted rules are business friendly. Consumer advocates not as pleased. Here’s what the new rules would do:
- Removes provision that companies test autonomous vehicles for 1 year to fully deploy
- Eases accident and autonomous vehicle-disengagement reporting requirements
- No requirement for city approval for testing
- Cities will have to be notified and companies will have to coordinate with cities
