AI eats AI

I’m sure we’ve all read about Open AI’s AI testing that attacked an AI testing platform, Hugging Face. So let’s hear it from tech experts:

@wired writes “Rather than stay contained in the sandbox, the models “exploited a zero-day vulnerability” to gain access to the open internet as they “hyperfocused” on finding a solution for the AI cybersecurity benchmark known as ExploitGym. Such experiments involve prompting that pressures the models to find solutions, essentially egging them on.”

Space data center trash talk

It seems that Sam Altman and Elon Musk are trash talking each other over data centers in space. Here’s a glimpse of two adults having a public war of words: Altman says “homeboy you’re the one sellling [sic] public market investors on short-term space datacenters.” Musk accuses Altman of being a scammer.

The prevailing view of experts is that “Space data centers are not going to be a serious business anytime soon” according to Tech Crunch.
