Number vary widely. \u00a0In Georgia the numbers\u00a0in Atlanta varied from 1,200 according to\u00a0the National Rental Home Council to 1.4 million households by KB Advisory Group. \u201c<em>Newsweek<\/em>\u00a0<a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/www.newsweek.com\/squatting-map-cities-highest-number-homes-1886005\" target=\"_blank\">reported<\/a>\u00a0that the numbers of homes taken over by squatters for Dallas-Fort Worth and Orlando are even smaller \u2014 475 and 125, respectively.\u201d \u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Some point the issue to immigration, and some point the issue to predatory lending practices.
