Virginia has&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/lis.virginia.gov\/cgi-bin\/legp604.exe?211+sum+SB1392\">SB 1392 (2021 | VA)<\/a>&nbsp;Much like California it gives the consumer more power to pull and protect their data. Viriginia\u2019s draft is a lot like Washington state\u2019s&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/app.leg.wa.gov\/billsummary?BillNumber=6281&amp;Initiative=false&amp;Year=2019\">SB 6281 (2020 | WA)<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Why should we care? Let\u2019s face reality- even if the feds act, the states will keep at it too.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">How can this impact me? Data protection and data security are top line messages. Just last week Tim Book took aim at Facebook\u2019s lack thereof.
